Hi, I'm Lexie. I’m a sophomore at St. Francis High School and love getting involved in activities. I play tennis and soccer year-round and I’m also involved in my school’s student government and SADD club, which focuses on helping kids' mental health and realizing the joy in the world around them. 

I am very excited to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Student Visionaries program this year. In school we are encouraged to find ways to give back to the community and help make positive change for those around us. Before being introduced to the Student Visionary program by a close family friend, I honestly would not have thought I could do much to help those who are fighting cancer. But after learning more about how kids just like me are raising funds to support important research and treatments, I realize I can be part of the solution to end cancer for good.

This is especially personal to me because this year I lost my grandfather and great uncle to different kinds of cancer. That's my grandfather and me in the picture up top. My grandmother is also a cancer survivor. And I know that all around us there are families who are trying to manage a cancer diagnosis for their loved ones. By supporting my campaign, you can help make the lives of those fighting cancer better. And together hopefully we can work towards a world that is cancer free.
