I do not know a single person who has not been affected by cancer in some way, shape, or form. By running for Students of the Year I hope to raise awareness and funds to help stop a disease that affects so many. My mother is a cancer survivor and her mother passed away due to cancer as well. I hope to run in their honor and show my peers that we are not too young to start helping others. This campaign will allow me to fund and advance the blood cancer research that so many people desperately need and while at first, my fundraising may seem like a drop in the bucket, it has the potential to help many people.
