Team Cheer's Student Visionaries of the Year Fundraiser
To Our Family & Friends:
When the vision is clear, the results will appear. Our generation HAS to be the last to see blood cancer. Over the last five years, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has helped advance 75% of the almost 100 FDA- Approved blood cancer treatment options. By supporting our campaign today, you are becoming a part of visionaries driven to achieve a world without cancer. Join Cheer 4 a Cure in our mission to end blood cancer for good.
I don’t think there’s a single person who hasn't been affected by cancer in some way. Approximately every 3 minutes, one person in the US diagnosed with leukemia, lymphoma, or myeloma. And approximately every 9 minutes, someone in the US dies from blood cancer. This statistic represents approximately 158 people each day, or more than 6 people every hour. Cancer has affected both Lizzy’s and Jasmine's families in many ways. Cancer has been a part of Lizzy's family for decades, and every generation has had a diagnosis. She will be running in honor of both her great grandmothers, who died from cancer just a couple years apart, Aunt Becky who lost her battle with a rare form of brain cancer, & both grandfathers who continue their battle daily. Jasmine will be honoring her grandmother who died from a cancerous tumor. We've witnessed first-hand how this horrible disease affects families not just physically, but mentally and financially.
Our team (#Cheer 4 a Cure) is aiming to raise $75,000 during our 10 week campaign to honor our loved ones who have passed. Please consider sponsoring our campaign for Student Visionaries of the Year and our fundraising efforts. Every dollar we raise that is tax deductible counts as a "vote" for me as a candidate, but it also helps the LLS mission. You can donate directly through this webpage or by sending a check to: the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society 9530 Hageman Rd Suite B #541 Bakersfield CA 93312 made payable to LLS with the memo "Cheer 4 a Cure".
Sincerely,
Lizzy Guyton and Jasmine Tejada

Proud of my young cousin Lizzy Guyton. In memory of friends and family who have passed due to cancer, including my wife Sheron. I am also a cancer survivor and appreciate what these youngsters are doing with this fund raising.
