Students of the Year Fresno

Londyn Ekizian | Londyn Ekizian's Campaign Team

Welcome to Londyn Ekizian's SOY Fundraising Page!

Jan 06, 2020

Dear Friends and Family,

I have been given the opportunity of a lifetime to help others.

Each year, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society launches its Student of the Year fundraising campaign, and I was honored to join this year's effort as a team member for team. I am writing today to ask for your support of LLS’s Mission and its efforts to find cures for blood cancers and to assist patients and families as they battle this disease.

From January 23, 2020- March 13, 2020, our team goal is to raise $100,000, which will go directly to LLS in support of its longstanding goal: a world without blood cancers. If we raise over $50,000, we can link our team name to an LLS-funded research portfolio to honor our efforts to help people with blood cancers.

My reason for joining the fight is so people can truly understand how devastating cancer is and why we need to make sure families no longer have to experience its effects. I don't think anyone, especially kids, should have to go through life wondering if that day is going to be their last. Like many of you, I have witnessed first-hand the debilitating effects that leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma can have on those who suffer from these blood cancers, and on the friends and family who care for and nurture their loved ones.

There are many reasons to be proud to support LLS’s efforts. For instance, LLS helped advance 46 of the 52 blood cancer treatments approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) since 2017 to date. And many of these LLS-supported therapies not only help cancer patients but are now approved to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers, and non-cancerous diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and other autoimmune diseases. They're even being tested in clinical trials for patients with a range of cancers including lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers, and non-cancerous diseases such as diabetes and lupus.

This is an organization that is making an impact with the dollars it raises, and I'm proud to be associated with LLS.

This is where you come in…...

You may make a donation in any amount, however any checks sent to me prior to my campaign start must be postdated to January 23, 2020. Please make checks payable to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and send to 790 Loughborough Dr Merced, CA 95348. Please note “Londyn Ekizian” in the memo section of the check. You can also make an online donation by visiting my personal fundraising page at soylondyn.org after midnight on January 23, 2020.

I thank you in advance for supporting this incredible cause need. I'll keep you posted on how the campaign goes. For now, I'm grateful for your friendship and support.

Sincerely,

Londyn Ekizian

P.S. .Does your company have a matching gifts program that might be willing to match your donation?
