Dear Friends & Family, 

 

HAVE YOU BEEN TOUCHED BY CANCER?

            We are so excited to team up with our friends and family and raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society through the Student of the Year campaign. We were inspired by our friend Holden Beecher’s efforts last year and when his family nominated us, we were happy to say yes. Additionally, cancer hit close to home this year with our family member Katie Ferdinandi. Like so many of you, we have witnessed closely the harsh effects of this disease. 

At only 24 years old and just one month after her wedding, Katie was diagnosed with breast cancer. She’s had 9 chemotherapy treatments followed by surgery and awaits radiation therapy in February. We hope you join us as we embrace this opportunity to support LLS, our friends, and our family. 

The money we raise goes to LLS in support of their long standing goal of a world without blood cancer. Their mission is to advance treatment options, research, and advocacy. LLS helped advance 46 of the 53 blood cancer treatment options approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) since 2017 to date. Many of these LLS-supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are now approved to treat patients like Katie, who are currently battling breast cancer.

We start fundraising January 23, 2020 and end March 13, 2020. We plan to raise at least $75,000. More importantly, if we raise at least $50,000, we will be able to link a research grant in honor of Katie.

 We are asking for your support and donations of any amount. Please make checks payable to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and note Gracie Schuh and Matthew Roque in the memo section of the check.
