Students of the Year Fresno

Welcome to Ethan Quinn's SOY Fundraising Page!
Dear Friends and Family,
I have been given the opportunity of a lifetime! I was asked to join the battle against blood cancer and help those affected by it
Every year The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, otherwise known as LLS, conducts a fundraising campaign called Students of the Year. I am excited and honored to announce that I have been selected as a candidate for the class of 2022 Students of the Year campaign. I am writing to you today in hopes that you will support LLS’s mission and this prestigious event in the efforts of finding cures for blood cancers and to assist patients and their families as they battle this disease.
Through the Students of the Year campaign, I have been given the opportunity to meet many inspiring kids, especially those in the Central Valley that have survived and battled through unfortunate cases of blood cancer. Although my family and I have not been affected by blood cancer, I feel like I can do more and help those who are affected. By being a part of LLS I can proudly say that LLS is the leading force in blood cancer treatments. For instance, in 1964 a child’s chance of surviving every stage of blood cancer treatments was at most 3%. Today with LLS’s role in advancing treatments, children now have a 96% chance of surviving and going back to normal activities. This percentage inspires children to keep battling their diseases so they can be with their friends at school playing once again.
In addition to the advancement of blood cancer treatments coming from LLS supporters’ therapies, the ability to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers, non-cancerous diseases like rheumatoid arthritis, and other autoimmune disease became possible
From January 23, 2020 to March 13, 2020, my team has a goal of raising $75,000 which will go directly to LLS in support of its longstanding goal; a world without blood cancers. If my team and I can raise $50,000 I could link an LLS funded research portfolio for a child affected by blood cancer.
You can make a donation in any amount and mail a check payable to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to 4885 N College Avenue, Fresno, CA 93704. Please note “Ethan Quinn” in the memo section of the check. You could also make an online donation by visiting my personal fundraising page at https://soyethanquinn.org
