Dear Family and Friends,

We have been nominated for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Students of the Year that is an annual campaign that runs this year from February 5^th through March 27^th. This is a fun filled philanthropic campaign where every dollar we raise is a vote for us.  The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is a charitable organization dedicated to fighting blood cancer. We, as students, are leading a campaign to raise money to benefit the children and their families as they face the challenges blood cancer brings. Our goal is to raise $50,000 in just those 7 short weeks. We understand this is a lofty goal but one we believe with your help is attainable.

Our goal is to reach $50,000 because we will have the option to select a specific donation category for the money to fund. Our goal is to raise money to integrate cancer-surviving children back into school. We know that there is life beyond cancer, and these children deserve the same educational opportunities as we do. We understand that cancer treatment and expenses take a financial toll on families. We want all blood cancer survivors to have an excellent education, like us, to set them up for future success. This campaign is done in honor of two local patients that are currently in their battle. This year that is GG Guerrero (11 years old) and JJ Motton (6 years old).

Approximately every 9 minutes, someone in the U.S. dies from blood cancer. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society fights to minimize this rate. We are honored to be a part of such an incredible organization. We are excited and proud to be helping others, and we would love to have your help!
