Dear Friends and Family, 

We, Saydee and Kalyssa Ro have had the privilege of being nominated as candidates for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Gold Coast 2025, Student Visionaries of the Year campaign. Student Visionaries of the Year is a seven-week long philanthropic professional leadership development program that runs from February 6, 2025 to March 28, 2025 to raise money and help support the LLS mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.   

We have created a team of committed friends and family to partner with us on this journey. Together, we have set a fundraising goal of $100,000, and have chosen research as the LLS mission pillar to represent throughout our campaign.  

Money raised helps LLS, the largest nonprofit dedicated to creating a world without blood cancers, advance initiatives like providing crucial support for blood cancer patients and their families. LLS is the leading source of free information, education, and support for blood cancer patients, survivors, caregivers, families, and healthcare professionals, including one-on-one support, financial assistance, clinical trial placements, and more.  

Through our strong passion for the arts, we have come to acknowledge the powerful impact music evokes within others. With blood cancer being one of the leading causes of death, we dream of sharing our passion for music to heal, restore, and empower those fighting this battle, specifically under the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Dare to Dream Project. Alongside the LLS organization, the Dare To Dream Project is designed to create treatments specifically for children because we recognize that a one size fits all approach does not work when treating pediatric cancer. We dream of one day giving hope to those who dream of a world without blood cancers.

Our campaign will provide support to the critical work of LLS in hopes that one day no one will have to grow up without the ones they love. We know that with your help, we can reach our goal and make a direct impact in the fight against blood cancers.
