I am so excited to share that I have been nominated for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year campaign! As a candidate, I have formed a multi-generational team of passionate advocates who believe in the LLS mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. ​​​​​​​

I have personally seen the impacts of illnesses, from autoimmune diseases to various types of cancer. I’ve seen how it can affect the individual, their family, and even their community. When this opportunity arose to make a difference, I lept at it. No matter how large or small of an impact I create, I will know that I took the opportunity, tried my best, and (hopefully) succeeded in helping at least one person. My campaign will provide support to the critical work of LLS in hopes that one day no one will have to grow up without the ones they love. And that’s why my team, Team Go the Distance, is hoping to make a change. 

My amazing team has set a fundraising goal of $85,000, and have chosen advocacy as the LLS mission pillar to represent throughout our campaign. Money raised helps LLS, the largest nonprofit dedicated to creating a world without blood cancers, from enacting policies addressing these diseases to funding research. And you can play a vital role in helping us achieve this goal!
