Taylor's Students of the Year Fundraiser
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page, welcome!
Privilege is something that’s been on my mind a lot recently, especially considering the events of this year. I’ve come to realize that health is a privilege, as much as race or class, but it isn’t often thought of as such. To be honest, I found the uncertainty and anxiety of this pandemic (as well as the stay-at-home measures) slightly stressful. Suddenly, I couldn’t attend school in person, go shopping whenever I wanted, or see my friends. Then, it occurred to me that this stress of losing so many experiences because of something out of my control, which I view as a mere inconvenience to my life, is actually a huge burden, and the reality, for many cancer patients. For most of us, we know that this pandemic will eventually end, and we know that we’re all going through this together. However, many cancer patients do not have this same reassurance. That’s why I’d like to specifically highlight LLS’s mission to “improve the quality of life for patients (many of whom are young, like me) and families”. I believe in LLS’s commitment to preventing emotional isolation and being that support system for cancer patients, because security and support shouldn’t be a privilege - it should be something that everyone has the opportunity to receive
I encourage you to join me in supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by making a donation to my fundraising campaign. My appreciation for your support cannot be overstated — each and every dollar donated to LLS brings us closer to our goal to end blood cancer and makes an impact for cancer patients and their families.
Please visit my website as often as you can and share it with everyone you know who would also like to join us in the fight against cancer. Together, we have the power, the passion and the resolve to achieve a world without blood cancer. All donations are tax-deductible.
On behalf of cancer patients and their families everywhere, I sincerely thank you for your support!

I recently spent some quality time at Cedars' new state of the art infusion center. I was immensely grateful to be there just for some iron. It was humbling to see several dozens folks getting transfusions for things like leukemia, all in the midst of this damned pandemic. Keep up the fab work!! -- Tara (your mom's law school friend, and mom of Kaia & Quinn at CH)
