I got involved with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) through my friend Trevor.  To be honest, I didn't know a lot about this cancer and how many people, especially children and young adults, are affected.  I was most impacted when I watched the video, Fire with Fire, below, which I hope you'll watch below.  After watching this, I wanted to help children like Emma who survived Leukemia and Lymphoma, which is the reason why I made a pledge to this campaign: to make an impact on children and young adults who have Leukemia & Lymphoma and others cancers so they can get treatment and live a normal life like you and me.

To me, statistics say a lot about what is happening in our community.  Some of these are:

- Every 3 minutes someone is diagnosed with a blood cancer

- Leukemia is the #1 most diagnosed form of childhood cancer

- An average of 3,679 children and young adults are diagnosed with leukemia each year

I am working together with my friend Trevor and 17 other high school students to raise a total of $50,000. My personal goal is to raise $2,500.  I hope you will join me in supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by making a donation to my fundraising campaign.
