Jane Bricklin | The Changemakers
Jane's Students of the Year Fundraiser
I want to express my immense gratitude for everyone who has donated so far! Your generous support and contributions are helping bring the world one step closer to a cure<3 Above is a photo of me mid-chemo rocking my shades and shaved hair. Four year old Jane would have never believed that in 13 years she would be cancer-free and fighting for those who are going through experiences just like her. Thank you for helping me on this journey to provide support for every blood cancer patient out there: past, present, and future.
Welcome!!
Thank you so much for stopping by my page! The campaign has officially started and I'm so excited to fundraise for a cure for blood cancer. If you could take two minutes out of your day and even donate just $5 that would be spectactular! Thank you so so much for joining me and my team on this journey. We truly appreciate the support. Here's to a cure! <3
One more week!
There’s 1 week until the kickoff of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Students of the Year fundraiser! I cannot wait to start the fundraising campaign with Kacey Fifield and our wonderful team, The Changemakers, on January 14th🩸🤍
I understand that in these tumultuous times, it’s difficult to focus on the positives and easy to lose hope of a promising future. However, all is not lost. Personally, one encouraging matter I look forward to in this new year is knowing I will be actively helping fund a cure for blood cancer patients and, in turn, saving lives.
I implore you all to continue on this campaign journey with me and my team and I challenge you to find your own objective this year that will sustain your peace of mind. That objective can be anything from continuing to stand up for injustices, cultivating a better mental mindset, or even donating to charities such as LLS ;)
In the end, we’re all signing up to save lives in one way or another; whether it be for the sake of others’ or just our own.
Xoxo
Welcome! Let's chat...
First, thank you so much for taking the time to stop by my page! Second, while you're here I would like to tell you why I am on this mission with the LLS Students of the Year program to fundraise as much as possible for cancer patients around the globe.
Since 1949, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has been funding life-saving cancer research and providing aid and support to patients and their families. This impact cannot be emphasized enough, as the work of LLS has saved countless lives, and will continue to in the future. However, it is not possible for them to act alone. Research and patient support is expensive, which is why LLS needs donations now more than ever, to continue to grow and expand their programs.
As a Student of the Year Candidate, I aim to fundraise as much money as possible during the 7-week period from January 14th to March 6th. All of these funds will go directly to the revolutionary work of LLS. I chose to run as a candidate in order to repay the community that supported me through my own Leukemia treatment. The LLS community were the ones who raised funds that helped me live and now I feel like it is my turn to pay it forward. However, more importantly, I want to use my SOY platform to let other survivors know that cancer does not define them as a person; if anything, it is empowering. I am not just fundraising in honor of me and my battle, but for all those who are currently losing strength trying to win theirs.
It is simply impossible for me to reach my goal and make this change alone so I ask you to help our campaign by donating. No matter the amount, every single penny contributes towards saving lives. I ask you to redirect the $5 you may typically spend for one Starbucks coffee to a small donation towards LLS's vital work.
Thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to read my message and I urge you to stand with me in changing this world for the better. Let's truly be The Changemakers.
xoxo
Jane's Students of the Year Fundraiser
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page, welcome!
I encourage you to join me in supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by making a donation to my fundraising campaign. By donating to LLS, you support the many facets of LLS’s mission work from investing in groundbreaking research, providing education and support to patients, and advocating at the state and federal level for legislation to help those living with cancer. My appreciation for your support cannot be overstated — each and every dollar donated to LLS brings us closer to our goal to end blood cancer and makes an impact for cancer patients and their families.
As a global leader in the fight to end cancer, LLS is committed to doing more for blood cancer patients and families than any organization in the world. LLS’s signature fundraising campaigns drive critical support for its mission, including a nearly $1.3 billion investment in cutting edge cancer research worldwide since it was founded in 1949. Since the 1960s, survival rates for many blood cancer patients have doubled, tripled, or even quadrupled.
Every facet of LLS’s mission – research, education and support, and policy and advocacy – work in harmony to put blood cancer patients and their families first. LLS has helped millions impacted by cancer throughout its more than 70-year history, even funding breakthrough blood cancer research to advance lifesaving treatments and cures that is now helping patients with other cancers and diseases. That is why at LLS we say that beating cancer is in our blood.
Please visit my website as often as you can and share it with everyone you know who would also like to join us in the fight against cancer. Together, we have the power, the passion and the resolve to achieve a world without blood cancer. All donations are tax-deductible.
On behalf of cancer patients and their families everywhere, I sincerely thank you for your support!

All of us have been touched by cancer. I lost my mother when she was 52. Just last year, I lost a very dear friend, Linda Griffin. Without the wonderful work done by the research and medical communities, funded by efforts like this, Richard and I might have lost our bright, beautiful and beloved granddaughter, Jane Bricklin. Given with love by Kakie and Grampa Greenberg

Jane, you obviously inherited both of your parents' attitude of "Oh yeah? Just watch me do what you say I can't do!" And then you went ahead and bested both of them by adding your own sweet and sassy sparkle to this fighting spirit. You'll always be a wonderful example to others of what can be done when you put your whole self into something. Rock on, darling girl!
