Creating a Cancer-free World

Apr 01, 2021

Cancer has hurt and destroyed way too many people and I have had enough of it. After seeing what Leukemia did to my older brother, I am determined to make a change and join in the fight against cancer. Thankfully, my brother was able to defeat this silent villain, but the harsh treatments he had to undergo still haunts my family and I today.

Join me in this fight by donating and sharing the link to this page starting on April 5th so I can reach my goal of 100,000!  The cure is on the horizon, the following video is living proof that progress is being made. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-2aHIpglt4.

It is truly time to Let Hope Rise!

Until there is a cure,

Sean Harmon

Introducing Christopher Harmon

Apr 01, 2021

My brother, Christopher Harmon, is one of the strongest people I know. He fought for three long years against Leukemia when he was only three years old. During that time, his family and his love of Disneyland carried him through. He especially loved "It's a Small World". The picture below actually captures the day that my parents recieved that heart wrenching phone call from the hospital regarding his diagnosis. Today, he is a happy healthy 19 year old who attends school in Flagstaff, Arizona. Chris is such an inspiration to me because of his incredible strength.

My Story

Mar 24, 2021

The reason I wanted to join in the fight against cancer and raise $100,000  is because of my older brother. When he was merely 3 years old, he had to endure the unimaginable. He was diagnosed with life-threatening Leukemia. Thankfully, he was able to stay strong and fight the cancer, but it would not have been possible without programs like LLS funding new research and finding effective treatments. The reason I have decided to run for Student of the Year is because I want to help families going through the same situation my brother did. If I can help to improve their lives, even if just a little bit, then that would be a great achievement for me.

Sean, I am a member of the Thousand Oaks Elks Lodge. I felt personally compelled to help you reach your goal and beyond. I saw the video and heard your story and I am on the House Committee which will be looking at what our lodge can do to help also. Keep up the great work and know you are doing a great thing for others, which is what the Elks do throughout this great country of ours. If your brother is still in Flagstaff, go to the Elks lodges there and let them know what you are doing. I am sure they would love to help as well. Good luck to you on this journey.
