My name is Mira Sahnan and I am honored to be competing in The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year campaign. Anika Khera and I are Co-Candidates for Team Road 2 Recovery and our goal is to raise as much money possible to fufill LLS mission. I am participating in this program because my mother works in the medical field, so I have seen the firsthand impact that cancer has on individuals who are diagnosed as well as their families. My goal is to assist those who are struggling with cancer and are in need of support and care. Additionally, in the future, I would like to follow in my mother's footsteps and pursue a career in healthcare. I will take comfort in the knowledge that I can treat those who have been diagnosed with blood cancer. Our campaign will provide support to the critical work of LLS in hopes that one day no one will have to grow up without the ones they love. I know that with your help, I can reach my goal and make a direct impact in the fight against blood cancers.
