There are seven billion people on this planet, each with their own goals, dreams, and desires. Some dreams turn into an exciting reality, while others never leave the mind. Sickness is one horrible circumstance that can change an innocent person’s life. Illness often prevents millions of men, women, and children from having the life that we so often take for granted. It is time to take a stand; because at the end of the day, their fight is our fight.

Hello, My name is Rachel Lawson and I am sixteen years old. I couldn’t be more thrilled to be participating in Students of the Year to raise money from January 10, 2020 to February 29, 2020. The money raised will be going towards the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to help fight to end blood cancer. 

This year, our honored hero is the ever-so-sweet Lily Gray. In 2016, she was diagnosed with Leukemia at the age of two. Blood cancer is a trauma that no human being should have to face, let alone a two-year-old. It absolutely breaks my heart when I see young children like Lily in hospitals, fighting for their lives instead of being able to play freely. Childhood is a very important time in a person's life and it shouldn’t be spent wondering if you will ever leave your hospital bed. However, it will take more than a sixteen-year-old girl to put an end to this suffering. 

With your help, we can create a world encompassed with divine hope. Every donation given is greatly appreciated. I have a huge goal in mind that will make a difference in the war against blood cancer. Join my fight to give future generations the security and relief we do not have right now.
