Hi there. I am Lauren Yeung. Thank you so much for visiting my page! A little about myself - I am a sophomore at Phoenix Country Day School which I have attended since the 6th grade. This school year I joined my school's swim and dive team. I swam the 50M and 100M free, as well as the 200M and 400M free relays. Individually in diving, I qualified for State and finished in 4th in D3. Overall, our swim and dive team finished 2nd in State but next year i want that State ring!! I am in my third year of competitive club cheer which competes nationally. You can find me in the gym 4 times a week practicing with my team year-round.  I have also been a member of the Phoenix chapter of the National Charity League since the 7th grade. The time required for meetings, volunteering and leadership development through NCL keeps me quite busy.  However, I believe it's important to give back to your community and NCL definitely brings people in our community together!

​​​​​Now I am honored to be team leaders with Samantha Field and Ella Vitti of Coast 2 Coast Cures for the 2020 Students of the Year program.  It is a seven-week campaign that runs from January 10th to February 29th. Select high school students from around the country participate in this fundraising competition to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I am raising critical dollars in honor of a young patient hero, Lily, who is in remission from leukemia after a 2 1/2 year battle.  Each dollar is a vote. The candidate team that raises the most money at the end of the seven weeks is named Students of the Year. Our mission is to not only raise the most money in this national competition but also to bring awareness to blood cancers like leukemia, which is the most common form of cancer in children and teens.

Since the early 1960s, the five-year survival rates for many blood cancer patients have gone from 5% to nearly 90%. And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are helping patients with other cancers and serious diseases. In fact, drugs first approved for blood cancers are now approved to treat patients with stomach cancers, skin cancers, and autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis.

We really are changing the face of blood cancer!

All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. Funds raised not only support LLS-funded research but will help provide critical information and support for patients, and support advocacy for laws to ensure patients can access the care and treatments they need.
