Welcome to Coast 2 Coast Cures LLS page! Coast 2 Coast Cures’ team is made up of three Sophmore girls; Sammy Field, Ella Vitti, and Lauren Yeung. This program is a seven-week initiative in which select high school students from around the country participate in a fundraising competition to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The candidate team that raises the most money at the end of the seven weeks is named Student of the Year. Our mission is to not only raise the most money but also to bring attention to blood cancers like leukemia, which is the most common form of cancer in children and teens. Between the three of them, Sammy and Ella attend Arcadia High School, and Lauren attends Phoenix Country Day School. All of these girls participate in various sports, activities, and clubs and are very committed to their communities. Sammy frequently plays tennis participates in boxing lessons, and does trap and sport shooting. Ella loves yoga, plays tennis, and has danced since she was a young girl. Sammy and Ella started and are also co-presidents of a new club at Arcadia, which serves as a way to help the homeless by putting together and handing out bags filled with small toiletries, food, and water. Lauren is a dedicated cheerleader on the All-Stars Cheer Team and dives for her school. Sadly, like most people, all of the girls have been personally affected by cancer through their loved ones or extended family members. Ella’s grandpa is a lymphoma survivor, and her great aunt tragically died of Leukemia. Sammy’s grandma was taken by lung cancer when her mom was only 19. This team is very excited to endure this challenge and make a change in the lives of not only children and adults afflicted with cancer but their families as well. Every donation is helpful, you never know which dollar will save a life. Thank you so much for giving this team support.
