Abrianna Lopez is a 17 year old junior at Phoenix Christian Preparatory School. She has been inspired by her family and friends to take part in the 2019 Student of the Year campaign and has formed the A-Z White Out Team. She is proud to lead her campaign team and work towards their goal to raise $25,000 during the next 7 weeks - from January 11 - March 2, 2019. At a young age she was faced with the harsh reality of what cancer can do by the loss of her nana, Claudia Jensen. Claudia lost her battle to Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) on April 1, 2010 at the age of 68. Just a short year later, her family friend, Elizabeth Brooklyn Blair was diagnosed with Stage IV Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoblastic Lymphoma just a month after her 5th birthday. Elizabeth is now fortunately in full remission. These events have shaped Abrianna into who she is today and has created such a compassion for helping others. Abrianna’s goal is to help other patients and families to join in, in saying, “We have found a cure!”
