Welcome to Bradley Hooton's SOY Fundraising Page!
Welcome To My Fundraising Page!
I am running my campaign to be the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Student of the Year in honor of my Dad who lost his battle to Leukemia in August 2001. Cancer cut his life short leaving my mom a widow at 39 and I was fatherless at 20 months.
Nobody expects cancer, or the focus of fighting it, until in one breath, their life is forever changed as they knew it. Cancer comes to seek, steal and destroy, and that is why it is so important for effective research to be done like what LLS is able to do. The work that the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society does is incredible, and had my Dad been diagnosed today, he would probably have been able to live and see me graduate. Like I wished he could have seen me play baseball, or other milestones that I celebrated without him. My campaign provides openness to support the critical work of LLS in fighting the disease that has torn all of us apart, whether it be a spouse, a child, family member or friend with a similar diagnosis, I cannot do it alone. I need your help. My Dad worked hard in fighting for his life, and for this one moment in time, I want to fight just as hard in saving another life in his honor.
“No way. Not today. Not EVER” to cancer. You can help me raise funds by inviting your friends, family and everyone in your networks to join us by making a donation or attending our events. Aside from donations, we would love to hear from you or someone you know who would be willing to donate goods or services for auction items, sponsorships, tickets and opportunities. I’m pulling out all stops.
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Psalm 119:105
