We are honored to be supporting The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Student of the Year program which is a seven-week initiative in which select high school students from around the country participate in a fundraising competition to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. 

We both have decided to fundraise for cancer research in honor of both of our grandfathers, who have each fought a long, hard battle with cancer. Last year, Meera’s grandfather was diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer and was in and out of hospitals for months before his passing in March. This has inspired her to try to make a difference in cancer research through fundraising with LLS. Additionally, Silpa didn’t get to know her grandfather, as he lost his battle to cancer a couple of years before she was born. This hasn’t stopped her from being proactive in her community regarding cancer awareness.
