Welcome to Team Fight Strong. Our names are Sanya Shah and Kanika Khemka. It’s an honor to be a part of such an outstanding group of fellow students, but an even larger honor to be able to work for the patients, survivors and their families. We are fundraising in honor of the Boy and Girl of the Year and our families who have been affected. We want to prevent families from having to go through the same pain and hardships our families have gone through. We know how cancers affect families, and we want to do our best to FIGHT STRONG. Our mission is to not only raise the most money but also to bring attention to blood cancers like leukemia, which is the most common form of cancer in children and teens.

We are taking part in The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Student of the Year program which is a seven-week initiative in which select high school students from around the country participate in a fundraising competition to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Each dollar is a vote. The candidate team who raises the most money at the end of the seven weeks is named Student of the Year.

Our goal is to raise money in order to find the cure which can help heal people affected by cancer and to raise awareness as to how easy it is to help FIGHT STRONG against cancer.

    Something that is hard to do is find out how we can help our community. As children, we are told the only way to help out in the world is by becoming something big like the President of the United States. However, what no one tells us is that even an average-Joe like you can help. A donation no matter the size can make a big difference, perhaps being the start of the ripple effect. If you start donating a today, you will see a big impact tomorrow in the form of a miracle cure.
