Hello and thank you for visiting our fundraising page!

We are honored to be supporting The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Student of the Year program which is a seven-week initiative in which select high school students from around the country participate in a fundraising competition to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. We are raising critical dollars in honor of a young patient hero who is currently battling or is in remission from a blood cancer. Each dollar is a vote. The candidate team who raises the most money at the end of the seven weeks is named Student of the Year! Our mission is to not only raise the most money but also to bring attention to blood cancers like leukemia, which is the most common form of cancer in children and teens.

By donating to this page, you are helping to save a life. LLS has invested more than $1.6 billion in research since the 1949, the year it was founded. The beginning of finding a cure to all cancers is blood cancer research since it is changing the way the disease is understood and is already impacting lives. In 1964, the 5-year survival rate for pediatric cancer was 3% and in 2016, it has reached 90%! 

We were introduced to this program by our math teacher, Mr. Dhillon. His son, Armaan, was diagnosed with leukemia in 2014 and has now completed treatment! It came as a shock to us when we found out because we had seen Armaan at school events, pushing through the treatment process. When Mr. Dhillon introduced us to this program, we were immediately on board because we wanted to make an impact in helping patients recover in any way that we could!

Many high schoolers like us feel as though we do not have the opportunity to make a difference, but the Students of the Year program has provided us with the skills and opportunities to reach out to people in our community. We have learned that a solution and cure can only be found when people with a common goal unite by supporting one another. Now, we are asking you to join us in this cause and help find a cure for blood cancers.
