Our names are Ryan Lemberger and Max Druckman, and we have been selected as candidates for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s 2022 New Jersey Students of the Year Program. This prestigious program is a 7-week competition for high school leaders seeking to raise money and make an impact in the fight against cancer. It will take place from January 26-March 19, 2022. As a result of the campaign, students improve their business and social skills while engaging in outreach to their local communities. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society plays a valuable role in research, patient care, and family services for those afflicted by cancer. We want to do our part to advance cancer treatments and make thousands of recoveries possible. 

Students of the Year is incredibly important to us because both of our parents, Elisa Lemberger and Dr. Scott Druckman, were recently diagnosed and treated for cancer. Thankfully, they have both come out of their battles healthy. Through contributing to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s mission, we want to make sure others taking on cancer have the opportunity to come out healthy. 

We have combined our love of baseball into our team name, Team Grand Slam. With your help, we believe we can reach our goal of $100,000 and win the title of Students of the Year.
