Welcome to Augie Watkins' SOY Fundraising Page!
Welcome To My Students of the Year Fundraising Page!
Please join me in supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by making a donation that will benefit blood cancer patients everywhere. Thanks to your support, my efforts, will help fund the therapies and treatments and help save lives today.
WHO:
Local Austin area high school students enrolled in private or public schools who are enthusiastic about volunteerism, philanthropy, community outreach, and leadership!
WHAT:
The Students of the Year Campaign is a seven-week initiative in which high school students participate in a fundraising competition to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) South Central Texas Austin Chapter. The 7 week campaign will end on March 2nd with a Grand Finale Celebration at the Hyatt Regency where Austin’s Students of the Year will be announced. Every dollar counts as a “vote” and the Student team with the most “votes” will be named the winner.
WHEN:
The 2018 campaign kicks off on January 11th and ends on March 2nd. For 7 weeks, our candidate teams will focus on raising as much money as possible for LLS and our mission.
WHY:
To join the fight against cancer and improve the quality of life for our patients and their families. Leukemia is the number one cancer killer of our children under the age of 20; therefore kids are helping kids battling these devastating cancers.
HOW:
Students rally their communities, schools and families to support their fundraising efforts. Along with their own web sites, LLS staff provides students with materials and support throughout the campaign. Students will be sending letters, hosting events, soliciting sponsorships and securing auction items.
We really are changing the face of blood cancer!
All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS research but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.
Please visit my Web site often and bring friends who would also like to donate!
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere I thank you for your support!

We support the work LLS is doing for cancer research and knowing our donation is helping with that research or helps patients be guided through their cancer journey is why we donated today. A well informed patient is a stronger more hopeful person. Thank you Augie for your dedication to raising money for such a great organization.
