Welcome to Team Jam for Jordin!

This team was created in honor of our Race to Anyplace Patient Hero, Jordin. Jordin Nicholas was just six years old when he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. At a time when he should have been enjoying first grade, he spent most of that year at Children’s Hospital, working with tutors to stay up on his class work while he received treatment. The following year he was able to re-join his class at school and today is a star student in his third grade class. He takes chemo pills at home to keep the cancer at bay, but that doesn’t stop him from playing several sports, including flag football. Jordin’s dad said when things were at their worst and Jordin would see his family upset, he would remind them to think of happy times together and it would all be OK. That incredible attitude and determination of spirit have helped him fight off the leukemia, and make him the perfect person to be our Patient Hero.
