Welcome to the 2018 Scenic Shore 150 Team Peaches Fundrasing Page,
On December 18, 2012 Anyka "Peaches" Johnson was diagnosed with ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia). The Johnson family (Jason, Holli, Kyler, Alyza, Anyka & Kynrk), like so many families, were touched by blood cancer. Leukemia did not stand a chance against the Johnson family and Peaches resolve. On March 5th, 2015 Peaches and her family were given the good news, by the amazing doctors and nurses of American Families Childrens Hospital, she had beaten this ugly disease.
I joined the fight, and chose to make a difference, because of the Johnson family. Holli was a role model and teacher to my children in McFarland. Holli had made the commitment to make our children better citizens with her guidence. It was easy to come to the decision to help in their fight against blood cancer.
This amazing journey has changed my life. Each year I do my best to raise funds to help families as they too fight for their lives. Like the Johnson's story there are 1000's more children and families who fight, unfortunatly too many do not win the battle.
Each year I ride 150-175 miles to celebrate victory with those patients who have won, to join the battle with those patients still fighting, and to honor those who have lost the battle to blood cancers.
Please consider joining the fight, make the decision to donate whatever you can to help save lives, and further the reasearch/development of medicines to bring and end to blood cancers.
This year I continure to ride in honor of Anyka "Peaches" Johnson and celebrate her victory! I also celebrate, my cousin, David Jacobs who has beat this ugly disease as well.

LLS's continued advancements over the years, are responsible for the blood cancer survival rate doubling and tripling; in some cases, the survival rate has even quadrupled.
And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers. They're even being tested in clinical trials for patients with a range of cancers including lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. LLS funded drugs are now being tested for patients with other non-cancerous diseases like Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Multiple Sclerosis.
We really are changing the face of blood cancer!
All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS research but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.
Please visit my Web site often and bring friends who would also like to donate!
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere I thank you for your support!
