Hello Cancer Fighting Friends and Family
Over the last 11 years, my mother, Josephine, has battled blood cancer. Over that same time, I have run, swim, biked, and hiked countless miles with TNT to raise money and awareness to cure blood cancers. Because of people like you, research funded by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) has provided my mom with medicine that was approved for a secondary use to treat her blood cancer. It’s not a cure, but it’s giving us time to find one.
 This is my Mom on my wedding day. Thanks to LLS she got to experience this special day.
But we still need your help. I am the Team Captain for a Community Team to help Coach Chris as he trains for the Ironman World Championship. 
In case you are unfamiliar with what an Ironman is: it is a 2.4 mile swim followed by a 112 mile bike ride followed by a 26.2 mile run.
My goal is to raise at least $20,000 while completing 5 local events - culminating with the Long Beach half-marathon. The team goal is $30,000 and if we raise that money, we can dedicate a research grant in Josephine's honor.
So, how can you help?  Here are 3 easy things you can do:
1) Donate Now (early and often)! Any amount - big, medium or small - is greatly appreciated and takes us one step closer to curing blood cancers.
2) Join the Community Team. Click on “Join As Individual” to the right (or below) and join the community team!
As soon as you raise $300, we will enter you in our Road to Kona 5K on September 9th for free. We have a live and virtual race option.
3) Share My Fundraising Page. I am only one person. My network is limited. But as a collective group of amazing people, we can reach the world. Please share my link and my story. I need your help….my mom needs your help.
