Welcome To My Fundraising Page.
Dear Friends and Family,
When I was one year old, I was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). I had been sleeping more than usual and went to the doctor for a normal pediatric check-up. My family expected that I would be treated for the common cold, not a life-changing diagnosis. After eight days of powerful treatments, including spinal injections of chemotherapy and blood transfusions, I went into remission. However, due to a grueling maintenance therapy my family and I stayed at the hospital for another three months. Today, I am proud to say that I am happy and healthy.
Today more than a million Americans are fighting a daily battle with blood cancers and every 3 minutes another person unwillingly joins the fight. I have been given the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join the battle and help those living with blood cancers. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) has nominated me as a candidate in their inaugural “Student of the Year” fundraising challenge, and I could not be more excited to make a difference in the lives of patients across the country. I am proud to lead my campaign team and work towards our goal to raise $5,000 during the next 8 weeks - from January 29th to March 26th.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the largest donor to blood cancer research in the nation. I am honoring those who have battled blood cancers and raising money that will go directly to LLS in support of its longstanding mission to find a cure and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Along with my team, I will work to increase awareness about the impact of blood cancers and the cutting edge treatments that are currently being researched, as well as inspire others to join the fight to find a cure.
All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS research but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.
The campaign ends on March 26th. It isn't too late to support my fundraising campaign and join in the fight against cancer!
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere we thank you for your support!
