LLS's continued advancements over the years, are responsible for the blood cancer survival rate doubling and tripling; in some cases, the survival rate has even quadrupled. And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers. They're even being tested in clinical trials for patients with a range of cancers including lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. LLS funded drugs are now being tested for patients with other non-cancerous diseases like Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Multiple Sclerosis.
The Jersey Shore Beach N Boat Fishing Tournament is a season-long, inshore, multi-species fishing tournament that challenges anglers of all skill levels to compete for cash and prizes. It runs annually from April 1 through November 30 and is open to everyone — from the once-a-year fisherman, woman and child to the hardcore sportsman. Beach N Boat's mission are to provide a family-fun event, see who catches the largest fish in New Jersey and raise money and awarness for worthwhile causes.
Anglers may fish anywhere in saltwater in New Jersey, from Raritan Bay to Delaware Bay, from the shore or from a boat, including private boat, party or charter boat, from the beach, in the bays, or the ocean. Prizes are awarded for the largest catches for the span of the tournament and for special segments during the main tournament.
All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS research but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.
