Please join Forest Hollow Pool in supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by making a donation to our Swim-a-thon event! Thanks to your support, our efforts, will help fund the therapies and treatments and help save lives today.
Did you know that 1.1 million Americans are currently living with, or are in remission from, a blood cancer, and every three minutes one person in the United States is diagnosed with a blood cancer? A blood cancer diagnosis has probably drastically impacted the life of a family member, a co-worker, or a friend of yours. However, thanks to the research and patient services efforts spearheaded by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), the survival rate for these individuals has greatly increased and the quality of life for patients has vastly improved. LLS supports major programs that involve life-saving research, patient services, and various other community services.
$5 raised by swimmers for School & Youth Programs helps LLS invest in cures for kids with blood cancers.
$10 helps a LLS-funded researcher grow cells in a lab for a week in hopes of understanding how a new blood cancer therapy might work.
$25 covers the cost of one prescription medication co-payment.
$40 covers the cost of sending a comprehensive support packet to the family of a child with cancer.
$50 helps LLS to advocate for policies that improve patients’ access to care.
$70 allows one patient to participate in a LLS telephone/web education program featuring medical experts who provide the latest disease and treatment information.
$100 helps supply researchers with supplies and materials that are critical to carrying out their search for cures.
$150 provides five patients the ability to make a First Connection with a trained peer volunteer patient/survivor.
All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS research but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.
Thank you for your support!
