National Capital Area Students of the Year
We are honored to be apart of the 2017 Students of the Year program as Campaign Team Members. This is a six-week campaign for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. We are raising money to help the millions of people that are suffering from these terrible illnesses. My mission is to not only raise the most money but also to bring attention to blood cancers like leukemia, which is the number one killer of children under the age of 20.
Since the early 1960s, five-year survival rates for many blood cancer patients have doubled, tripled or even quadrupled. And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are now approved to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers, and noncancerous diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and other autoimmune diseases. They're even being tested in clinical trials for patients with a range of cancers including lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers, and noncancerous diseases such as diabetes and lupus.
All donations are greatly appreciated and tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS-funded research but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.
Please visit our website often and share it with everyone!
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere we thank you for your support!
