Sami "Petro" Petrucciani has come a long way in 12 years since her bone marrow transplant. In the Fall of 2017, Sami is headed off to Ball State University in Muncie Indiana to pursue a degree in Early Childhood Education. We are very proud of her. Please watch for updates as I will include a link to Sami's page.
Please join me and my wife in supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by donating to my page to support The Second Annual Leuk-OUT to be held on July 22, 2017 at Hillcrest Country Club! Ticket information for the Party will be available soon on our website www.leukout.com. This year we are incorporating an 12 mile run/walk for individuals or up to 3 person teams in addition to the 12 mile collective swim. Yep, I am going to run 12 miles and get in the pool to swim a mile myself. Training at 50 years old is a bit of a challenge. But, Challenge Accepted!!
LLS's continued advancements over the years, are responsible for the blood cancer survival rate doubling and tripling; in some cases, the survival rate has even quadrupled.
And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers. They're even being tested in clinical trials for patients with a range of cancers including lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. LLS funded drugs are now being tested for patients with other non-cancerous diseases like Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Multiple Sclerosis.
We really are changing the face of blood cancer!
All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS research but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.
Please visit my Web site often and bring friends who would also like to donate!
I am currently recruiting runners and swimmers to join the challange, create their own fund raising page and join the fun. Please contact me directly if you want to swim or run or both. I can be reached at 317-697-3876.
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere I thank you for your support!
