Welcome To My FUNdraising Page.

Please join me in supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by making a donation to my fundraising campaign. Thanks to your support, my efforts, will help fund the therapies and treatments and help save lives today.

LLS's continued advancements over the years, are responsible for the blood cancer survival rate doubling and tripling; in some cases, the survival rate has even quadrupled.

And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers. They're even being tested in clinical trials for patients with a range of cancers including lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. LLS funded drugs are now being tested for patients with other non-cancerous diseases like Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Multiple Sclerosis.

We really are changing the face of blood cancer!

All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS research but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.

Please visit my Web site often and bring friends who would also like to donate!

On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere I thank you for your support!

I hope this note finds you in good, healthy spirits!

For some of you, around this time last year, YOU MADE A HUGE IMPACT for the landscape of blood cancers! You made a very generous contribution to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s LADY in RED campaign.

Your donation has made the dreams come true for thousands of mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, friends, pets and loved ones.

Your contribution to the LADY in RED campaign honored “Poppa & Gan-Gan” with a research grant for  Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML)!

What does that mean?  Your gift and hard earned dollars are at work.  In October 2016, our Vice President, Joe Biden announced the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to lead the FIRST-EVER GROUND BREAKING MASTER TRIAL for AML, known as BEAT AML.

    • AML is the hardest form of blood cancer to detect.
    • AML is the most lethal of all blood cancers.
    • AML has seen little to no improvements in treatments in more than 40 years.
    • AML survival rate is 26%.

 A message from Heaven:

The first day of the campaign, I looked up at the blue skies with humbled tears of honor rolling down my cheeks.  Out loud, I asked Poppa and Gan-Gan, “How the hell am I going to raise $150,000 in 10 weeks?”  At that exact moment, I literally felt the biggest, warmest and most comforting hug come  over me and a little voice say, “it is going to be a lot easier than fighting for your life’.  This message stuck with me throughout the 10-week campaign.

The LADY in RED campaign raised over $70,000 in the fight against blood cancers AND with my fellow candidates we raised $1.2 MILLON in 10-weeks!  Was it hard??  It was a lot easier than fighting for our lives…  In addition, myself & Team LADY in RED were voted the 2016 Community Involvement Winner for raising awareness for Leukemia, Lymphoma & Myeloma!

A message from Britoni:

“From the bottom of my heart, with happy tears in my eyes, a million of heartfelt THANK YOU’s go out to YOU and your family!  Your selfless act of kindness is making the world a better place.  The Man & Woman of the Year campaign has been a life-changing experience for me.  I personally could not have taken on this feat without the support of my family, friends and loved ones.  To have the opportunity to honor my Grandparents and many others affected by blood cancers for 10-weeks, was nothing shy of emotionally and mentally challenging. However, it was a lot easier than fighting for my life.

Please take a moment, pray and thoughtfully consider about making a generous donation so we can continue to provide blood cancer patients support, education and fund research to improve the outcomes for all affected.  The deadline to make donations towards the MWOY 2017 campaign is June 10, 2017.

Together, let’s make SOMEDAY TODAY.   ~~Believe. Beyond. Boundaries.~~

Much Love & BIG {{{HUGS}}},

Britoni Burdett

Britoni, I am so proud of you and I know your Poppa & Gan-Gan would be too! I pray that your campaign will have a tremendous impact on the lives of those who are battling blood cancers, and that a cure is just around the corner. God bless you Lady in Red. Love, Aunt Debbie
