“Bowling for Special K” is a team created in memory and honor of Gus Konugres.  Gus, - the loving father of team member, Patra - lost his valiant fight against a rare form of lymphoma this past November.

In his children’s youth, Gus coached his daughter’s travel soccer teams. None of the girls on the team called him Mr. Konugres, or Mr. K, but they all referred to him as “Special K”. The name exemplifies the kind of person he was - special.

On September 24th we will be bowling raise money and awareness of blood cancers through Leukemia & Lmymphoma Society (LLS).  

Please join us in supporting LLS by making a donation to our fundraising campaign. Thanks to your support, our efforts, will help fund the therapies and treatments and help save lives today.

LLS's continued advancements over the years, are responsible for the blood cancer survival rate doubling and tripling; in some cases, the survival rate has even quadrupled. And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers. They're even being tested in clinical trials for patients with a range of cancers including lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. LLS funded druges are now being tested for patients with other non-cancerous diseases like Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Multiple Sclerosis.

All donations are greatly appreciated. They'll not only support LLS research but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.
