Welcome!
Please join me in supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by making a donation to my fundraising campaign in memory of my Dad.
Like so many others, my connection to LLS is a personal one. My Dad, Richard V. Mancuso lived with lymphoma for almost 2 years. He initially underwent chemotherapy which put him in remission for 3 months. Eventually, he had more chemotherapy and ultimately, a bone marrow transplant. The 2 years we had with him from diagnosis until his passing on December 15th, 2009 were made possible, in part, by the tireless work of actual humans who pour their hearts and souls into LLS. I would give almost anything to sit by his side for one more day, but I can't.
What I can do is support LLS, their staff and the medical researchers through fundraising, so that other families may have one more day with their loved one and so that LLS can continue their efforts to find a cure for all blood cancers.
Thank you for taking the time to read, for helping me to keep my Dad's memory alive and for your support.
With gratitude,
Gina
p.s.
LLS's continued advancements over the years, are responsible for the blood cancer survival rate doubling and tripling; in some cases, the survival rate has even quadrupled.
And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers. They're even being tested in clinical trials for patients with a range of cancers including lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. LLS funded drugs are now being tested for patients with other non-cancerous diseases like Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Multiple Sclerosis.
We really are changing the face of blood cancer!
All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS research but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.
