The Funhouse Super Hero’s Variety Show!
Join us on TONIGHT, Sunday, March 18th at 8:00PM, for a night of hilarious & eclectic entertainment! The evening will be hosted by Portland famed Comedian, Actress & Vocalist Belinda Carol and local favorite Drag Queen Loretta Good Lordchild, benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Be Your Own Hero Committee.
The Super Hero Variety Show will feature local Portland favorites, including the music, acting, drag, and comedic talents of the following artists: Ithica Tell, Mandy Khoshnevisan, Aurora Owen, Amelia Armitage, Alec Lugo, Feliciano Tencos-Garcia, Marla Darling, Amanda Lynn Deal, Lucy Paschall, Sara Fay Goldman, Zane Thomas, Annie Vergnetti, Melissa Buchta, Wolfgang James Sebastian, Keith Cameron, Alex Avery, Clare Apparently, and Alexandra Paris. PAMTA nominated music director Matt Insley will lead Bob Bakke on drums, and Andy Shanz on bass.
Meet Our Heroic Hosts!:
Belinda Carroll is a Portland native, LGBTQ activist and coffee addict. A stand-up comedian, actress, and vocalist, she has appeared on fun stuff like Portlandia, MTV, XM Sirius radio and Grimm a couple of times. She is the co-creator, producer and director of Portland Queer Comedy Festival whose inaugural year, July 2017, had the New York Times raving, "By far, my best experience in Portland...no controlled substances necessary".
Her writing credits include Huffington Post, Cracked.com, and PQ Monthly. She has performed alongside such artists as; Hari Kondabolu, Shane Mauss, Erasure (Andy Bell), The Cliks, and Guy Branum.
Loretta Good Lordchild is fresh on the Portland drag scene after a decades-long stint haunting the abandoned wings of Victorian era mansions from the upper echelons of culturally irrelevant socialites. She’s honed her comic chops in daycares, retirement homes, and the residential mental health department of Veterans affairs, where she’s received such accolades as “this is a fun craft activity” and “these pudding cups are terrible but I guess it’s better than nothing.” After finishing Comedy is a Drag on Thursday nights at the Funhouse Lounge, Loretta hopes to continue tickling the fancy of any Pacific North Westerners who book her.

About the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS)
LLS's continued advancements over the years are responsible for the blood cancer survival rate doubling and tripling; in some cases, the survival rate has even quadrupled. And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers.
