Hello! The campaign has officially started! We are off and rolling, thank you to those that have donated already. I'm very excited to see how it goes and how much we can raise for such a good cause.

If you would like to learn more about what I am doing and why, here is my story. 

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is an organization that reached out to my parents when my older sister got sick. Brooke Rose Hansen, my big sister, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at four years old. When we found out, LLS was one of the first organizations to reach out and offer a helping hand with information on the disease and even offered to pay some of our expenses. They were so helpful, especially since my dad had to commute between the hospital (Portland) and his job (Bend). My mom, Amber, spent most of her time in the hospital with Brooke or taking care of me and my sister. As a four-year-old little girl, I experienced one of the most traumatic events of my life; I had lost my best friend, role model, and big sister.

As I grew older, I always knew I wanted to do something to give back. I thought volunteering at the hospital my sister was treated at would be a great idea, but we lived three hours away. I didn’t know what to do and then, I got the email; I had been nominated to put on my own campaign! I have composed a team of strong individuals that are helping build my campaign and reach my goal, and they are willing to do almost anything I ask of them. Now I need your help. This campaign can be as spectacular as ever, but the donations are what really set one candidate apart from the others. I am asking you, as family member or a friend, to support my campaign so we cannot only help patients and families going through a rough time like mine, but to also fund the research to eventually cure blood cancers.
