The people I have picked for my team are amazing people who are both hardworking and passionate about this campaign. My team includes Sophie Birmingham, Lucas Ovalle, Jack Rogers, Grace Oneil, Natasha Dymek, Emily Johnson, Kiki Hawkinson, Peter Shea, Max Drakeford, and Sammy Kerigan. Every single person on my team is so exited to be apart of this campain and here is what they have to say about it:

Lucas Ovalle: "As some of you may know I personally have been deeply affected by the brutal causes cancer through my girlfriend Emma, who unfortunately passed away in 2016 due to the cancer known as Rhabdomyosarcoma. During a time when all emotions should’ve been focused on Emma, it was challenging to deal with the harsh discussions of finance. No family should ever have to go through such discords during a time of such urgent need; emotionally and physically."

Max Drakeford: "I’ve chosen to become a part of this initiative because I’ve personally witnessed several people who’ve had endure and suffer the heavy burdens that come with a cancer diagnosis; whether it be physical or financial. I know how damaging cancer is on the patients and their loved ones. When afflicted with any type of cancer, the least of one’s worries should be how to pay for treatment."

Sammy Kerigan: "I have decided to join this team because I believe there is nothing more important than helping others. Cancer effects almost everyone through some sort of connection whether it be your relative, friend, co-worker, etc."

Kiki Hawkinson: "I am so excited for this campaign and to be able to support thousands of patients in their fight against cancer.  This disease touches millions of people and could be cured in our life times but not without the support of people like you."

Emily Johnson: "I have decided to join this team so I can help others who are effected by cancers and specifically blood cancers. Not only do these diseases affect the patient but also effect the loved ones and their families"

Grace Oneil: "I joined this campaign in order to help those not only in our community, but across the nation as well. Cancer as affected millions of people’s lives, and I was so eager to join the fight to stop it"

Jack Rogers: "I have committed to doing all that I can in the next 7 weeks to fight alongside her and her family in their battle with cancer."

Sophie Birmingham: "Our team goal is to raise money for blood cancer research and we are competing against other high school students across the country. It would mean so much to me if you could help us reach this goal by donating anything you can, no donation is too small."

Please join me in supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by making a donation to my fundraising campaign. Thanks to your support, my efforts, will help fund the therapies and treatments and help save lives today.

LLS's continued advancements over the years, are responsible for the blood cancer survival rate doubling and tripling; in some cases, the survival rate has even quadrupled.

And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers. They're even being tested in clinical trials for patients with a range of cancers including lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. LLS funded drugs are now being tested for patients with other non-cancerous diseases like Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Multiple Sclerosis.

We really are changing the face of blood cancer!
