Feb 24, 2019

Hello!
Thank you for stopping by.
Big thanks to www.PMINJ.org for posting about this campaign! (not https// yet, so link may not open)

We are waiting to see how the Chipotle campaign worked out Thursday (2/21/19) !!!
and I was thinking about asking others for help when I just realized how much help we HAVE gotten.

I put a post on my page elainarphillips.com/areabusinesseshelplls/ with some of the area businesses that have graciously allowed us to spread the news. Even if people see the name LLS or Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the next time they see it, they might think... hey, I heard of those people! and become more involved.

Area locations in NJ have offered to accept donations on Team Breakthrough’s behalf, including:
– Dr. Dan Sheeley’s West Windsor Chiropractic Center
(Francine is a Team Member!) Thank you Jill!
– Dr. Matt James / Specialized Physical Therapy in Princeton
– Teddy’s Luncheonette in Cranbury
– Dr. Blase Toto at Toto Chiropractic & Total Rehabilitation in East Brunswick.
– Perkins in East Windsor
Donations are also directly accepted on the Team’s (secure) site: https://events.lls.org/nj/NewJerseySOY19/tbreakthro
All donations (in-person, online or by mail) are tax-deductible.

Checks payable to:
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
(print N Phillips in the “Memo” section), should be mailed to:
Team Breakthrough Suite 301
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Do you have ideas that could help the team raise money?
Please let us know.

2 Weeks Left!

Feb 21, 2019

Hello and thank you for visitig my page.

Today (Thursday 2/21) is the day to pick up lunch, a snack or dinner at
Chipotles - anywhere in NJ, many locations in PA too.
You do have to TELL the CASHIER before your order is rung up - to please press the fundraising button on the register so your purchase can support LLS.
If that is done, 33% of the bill gets donated to LLS!
That is huge.
Tell people you work with, friends and the person behind you in line!
Because of Sarah Staggs, Manuel Chaland, Nina Phillips, Giavanna Toto, Anlin Kopf and Leah Ziegler
Team Breakthrough promoted the Chipotles involvement in
Edgewater, East Rutherford, Fort Lee, Bound Brook, Closter, Teterboro, Bloomfield and Marlton

3 Weeks to Go!

Feb 19, 2019

Hello!
It has been weeks since my first post. We have been busy!
Team Breakthrough started out by sending over 650 letters and emails out letting people like you know more about LLS, what they do and how they help so many. We have asked for sponsors, put banners and boxes in businesses and asked many people personally. Everyone did what they could do, we even held a fundraising drive at Action Karate in PA.

Recently, we sent out over 250 flyers asking receipients to post and share them - they ask EVERYONE in New Jersey
to pick up lunch, a snack or dinner at Chipotles on Thursday, February 21 and tell the CASHIER they support LLS.
If that is done, 33% of the bill gets donated to LLS!
So now YOU know! Go to Chipotles THURSDAY, order and TELL them!

followed through with an interesting idea like donating 75% of the sale of a Brain Trauma illustration I created to this campaign!
https://www.etsy.com/shop/ElainaRPhillips  I'm thinking this illustration is most helpful for brain injury / concussion health care professionals - so we still need your help!

Please scroll to the top of this page and use the secure form to donate
…or write a tax-deductible check payable to:
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
and print Elaina Phillips in the “Memo” section.
Mail to:

Welcome to Elaina Phillips' SOY Fundraising Page!

Jan 13, 2019

Hello!

I am a sophomore at Princeton High School and am honored to be a candidate in the 2019 Students of the Year program, a seven-week initiative in which select high school students from around the country participate in a fundraising competition to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Along with raising money to support research to find cures, one of my goals in participating in this campaign to bring attention to blood cancers like leukemia, which is the most common form of cancer in children and teens. This is particulary significant to me because it gets me thinking back to the Cranbury School Kindness Club, where I was able to help to support a family with a child fighting leukemia. After being there with their child and delivering and prepare presents for them, I realized how incredibly difficult it must be for families to create and maintain a sense of 'normal' when someone close to them is going through so much. Organizations like LLS support families and help them to maintain a sense of normality. Your support is greatly appreciated, and, with your help, we can reach our goal of $30,000!

I am particularly glad that LLS shares their research. Many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are helping patients with other cancers and serious diseases. In fact, drugs first approved for blood cancers are now approved to treat patients with stomach cancers, skin cancers, and autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis. Thanks to help from organizations like LLS, five-year survival rates for many blood cancer patients have quadrupled since the 1960's.

We really are changing the face of blood cancer!

All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS-funded research but will help provide critical information and support for patients, and support advocacy for laws to ensure patients can access the care and treatments they need.

I believe we are all connected, and that assistance like the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society provides for patients and families benefits humankind. On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you for your support!

Please visit our website often and bring friends who would also like to donate!
