Our Student of the Year campaign is officially at the half way mark.  It’s week 4 for our Student of the Year campaign and my team and I are so honored to be part of what LLS is doing to fight blood cancers!  We have made great progress towards our goal of raising $50,000 but we still have work to do before the Grand Finale on March 3rd. I’m so proud of what my team has already accomplished and I know we will have lots to celebrate at the Grand Finale!

We are so grateful for your support!  Our team is working very hard to achieve our goal of $50,000 dollars that goes directly to funding experimental cancer treatments.  These treatments are achieving results.  Nearly 50% of drugs approved since 2004 by the FDA were originally funded by LLS.  If you have not had a chance to help or get involved PLEASE do!  

 

Please support our Super Bowl Square Game: Sunday, February 4th Patriots vs Eagles

We need your help!  Please buy squares!  

 

1 Square for $100 or 5 Squares for $400 (half the proceeds will go to LLS and the other half will be divided among the winners)

 

Your name will be randomly placed on the board.  You will receive a copy of the board in advance to monitor throughout the game.

At the end of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd quarter there will be a winner or 20% of the pot.  At the end of the game (overtime included) the winner receives 40%.   

 

Please pay cash or make checks made out to John McGill.  We are happy to come to you to pick up checks or cash as well.

Help Fight Cancer with Eagles for a Cure!

We are a group of friends at Gonzaga College High School who decided to make a difference. Our team, Eagles for a Cure, consists of juniors who are competing in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) Student of the Year Campaign. We will be carrying on this Gonzaga tradition started by Patrick Sheehy ‘15, Joe Vermillion ’16, Will Valentine’17, and now, JP McGill and Peter Greene ‘18.  We are Eagles for a Cure! Our goal is to raise funds for, and the awareness of efforts and research to combat Leukemia and Lymphoma, which are types of blood cancers. Our specific goal is to raise $50,000 for LLS between January 11^th and March 3^rd.

100% of the money we raise will go to LLS, which will use the funds for its mission: Cure Leukemia, Lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and Myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families We are especially excited about the research being funded by LLS to improve treatment for blood cancers. This research will also benefit efforts to cure other cancers since the treatments for blood cancers have mostly been effective in treating other cancers as well! Blood cancer is responsible for more deaths among those under 21 than all other cancers, so we can personally identify with it. With your help, we can make a huge difference. We hope to help everyone who is affected by cancer get well soon and soar like eagles!
