Hello everyone! I am Lyndsay Hamill, a sophomore, Varsity cheerleader, leadership award finalist, club member, and more at Our Lady of Good Counsel High School in Olney, MD and welcome to my fundraising page!

I am honored to have been accepted as a candidate in the 2018 Students of the Year program, a seven-week initiative in which select high school students from around the country participate in a fundraising competition to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I am raising critical dollars in honor of my dear friend, Mackenzie Stuck, who had lost her battle with Leukemia at the yoiung age of 13. Through Mackenzie and many other experiences, I have first handedly experienced the tragedies that cancer can cause friends, family, a community, and even a world. My goal is to have a world without cancer so that no other person has to go through the tragedies that cancer causes. In honor of my dear friend, I have decided to do everything in my power in order to end cancer. I want Mackenzie's legacy to live on and I see sparks of her compassion, kindness, bravery, hapiness, and beauty, inside and out, in nearly everyone I meet. Inspired by her, I am determined to have a cancer free tomorrow but I can no do it alone. Each dollar is a vote. The candidate team who raises the most money at the end of the seven weeks is named Student of the Year. My mission is to not only raise the most money but also to bring attention to blood cancers like leukemia, which is the most common form of cancer in children and teens, and to show others the impact and tragedies cancer causes. One thing in this world I feel all of us have in common is the hatred of cancer. I am sure that most nearly everyone that is reading this has been impacted by cancer wether that be through a friend, relative, classmate, co-worker, friendly face, or whomever. Start putting a end to cancer today.

All donations are greatly appreciated, are tax deductible, and 100% of the donation goes directly to my campaign. They'll not only support LLS-funded research but will help provide critical information and support for patients, and support advocacy for laws to ensure patients can access the care and treatments they need. If you are interested in receiving more information about my mission, interetsed in sponsoring my team, or have any questions, please contact me at hami013@olgchs.org. Lets change the face of cancer as we know it. For Mackenzie and many others, I believe.

For a cure,

Lyndsay Hamill,  Head of Team LMJD VS. Cancer

Please visit our website often and bring friends who would also like to donate!

On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere I thank you for your support!
