Feb 26, 2018

Hi everyone!

We are so glad you have wandered onto our page! We just cannot believe that there are only 5 days left in our campaign this year! It has gone by so fast and we feel so blessed that we have had the opportunity to raise money for LLS again! This year we have involved our community more than ever and through that this experience has been so much more rewarding. We have been able to see just how many people have been touched by blood cancer and just how important our work is to so many people.

Please consider making a donation today!

Introduction

Jan 24, 2018

Tonight Caroline and I were talking and we realized that we have posted several updates on this page but have not properly introduced ourselves nor our hero Trey.  Caroline and I are cousins, and we live in Falls Church. Caroline goes to school at Bishop O'Connell and participates in Track  as well as numerous clubs including best buddies and SADD. I go to J.E.B. Stuart and play lacrosse and field hockey, I am also the secretary of National Honor Society, and participate in various activities in my school community. Both of us spend much of summer in Duck, North Carolina, and while Caroline works at the local candy store I can mostly be found lounging on the beach. Most of all we love playing with our golden retriever puppies who are brother and sister, Winnie and Duck.

Last year Caroline was a candidate and I was her campaign manager. Throughout our campaign last year we met so many amazing people and saw how many people LLS had helped. I knew when Alli asked me to be a candidate this year that I had to do and that I would rather do it with Caroline by myside. My biggest inspiration for doing this is our friend Trey.

Trey was diagnosed with Philadelphia Chromosome Positive Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in 2014. As of 2016 Trey is in remission and has entered the maitenance phase of his treatment. He is now a junior at the Lab School in Washington D.C. Knowing Trey and his story with childhood blood cancer made this personal for us and increased our passion for raising funds to find a cure.

We are so glad that you have wandered onto our page and we hope that you will considering donating to us and spreading this link!

First Few Days....

Jan 15, 2018

We had an awesome event on Thursday night at Pizzeria Orso! A lot of students from J.E.B. Stuart's National Honor Society came and it was a really fun way to kick off our campaign with the whole community young and old! Also on Thursday we got a delivery of 96 flamingos! These flamingos have been going into yards all around our neighborhood and refuse to leave until a donation is made! This has been another really fun way we have been getting our communities involved in our campaign! Since this is our second year doing this that was a big goal of ours, we realized last year that in order to be successful we were going to need everyone we know even if we don't know them well helping us out! These first few days we have also been thinking a lot about why we are doing this again and thought we would share this short story with you: A few weeks ago right before Christmas we were at a yoga class that was being taught by one of friends moms. In the middle of the class she was trying to motivate everyone and told the class that we were running a campaign and how proud she was of us. As soon as she was done telling the class about us the woman sitting right next to us asked if she could share. She told that class that her little boy was a survivor! She told us his story and how much LLS means to them. Blood Cancer touches so many people and survivors and their families can be found in the most unexpected places... even in the coolest corner of a hot yoga room!

Midnight Madness!

Jan 10, 2018

Caroline and I are so excited to be back this year! Last year we raised over $32,000! Raising funds for LLS last year was inspirational and transformational for both of us. We saw first hand how many people have been touched by blood cancers, and we have been inspired by the impacts the research LLS has funded. In about 45 minutes this link will go live for donations and over 200 emails and letters will be sent to friends and family.  We hope that even after you donate you come back to this page to see all of the things we are doing and all of the people we meet who inspire us these next 7 weeks. Like our facebook page             ( https://www.facebook.com/Team-Trey-20-1949005805423150/ ) to see what we are up to and just as a warning it might include 96 flamingos...

Thank you so much for your support, we cannot wait to continue to support the mission of LLS!

Welcome To Our Fundraising Page.

Please join us in supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by making a donation to our fundraising campaign. Thanks to your support, our efforts, will help fund the therapies and treatments and help save lives today.

And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers. They're even being tested in clinical trials for patients with a range of cancers including lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. LLS funded drugs are now being tested for patients with other non-cancerous diseases like Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Multiple Sclerosis.

We really are changing the face of blood cancer!

All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS research but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.

Please visit my Web site often and bring friends who would also like to donate!

On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere we thank you for your support!
