Welcome To Krishna's Fundraising Page!
Hi, my name is Krishna Makani and I am honored to have been accepted as a candidate in the 2018 Students of the Year program, in which select high school students from around the country participate in a fundraising competition to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
I am raising critical dollars in honor of a young patient hero who is currently in remission from a blood cancer. The candidate team who raises the most money at the end of the seven weeks is named Student of the Year. My mission is to not only raise the most money but also to bring attention to blood cancers like leukemia, which is the most common form of cancer in children and teens.
I am fighting for a dear family friend. She was diagnosed with Leukemia when she was just 6 years old in 2015. Right now she is in the process of finishing her treatment and her doctors are hopeful for remission and we are all so thankful for that. Despite her diagnosis, she had a great support system behind her and was strong in her journey, handling it with grace. I never want someone to go through what she went through at such a young age. If I achieve my goal, I will have done it in honor of Ashli. We were glad that they caught it early and her Leukemia was able to be treated quickly. Not all kids like her are as lucky and we hope that you can help us by contributing to this great cause so that LLS can continue to find ways to treat patients just like her.
All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS-funded research but will help provide critical information and support for patients, and support advocacy for laws to ensure patients can access the care and treatments they need.
Please visit our website often and bring friends who would also like to donate!
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere I thank you for your support!
