Billy & Heath Cornwell | Serving for a Cure

Welcome to Billy & Heath Cornwell's SOY Fundraising Page!

Welcome To Our Fundraising Page!

Please join us in supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by making a donation to our Student of the Year fundraising campaign. Each dollar is a vote. The candidate team who raises the most money at the end of the seven weeks is named Student of the Year. Our mission is to not only raise the most money but also to bring attention to blood cancers like leukemia, which is the most common form of cancer in children and teens.

Serving for a Cure is our team name.  We are dedicating our Campaign to our Grammie, Stephanie Jones.  We wanted to participate in the Campaign because she loved to help others.  She also loved to spend time with family and friends, sell Mary Kay, and was a great tennis player.  She was a constant part of our lives until she lost her sudden and aggressive 6 month battle with Lymphoma in 2014 at the age of 65.  Our Grammie was a cheerleader for all and always supporting us and everyone around her.  We are so glad to be able to be part of the Student of the Year campaign in her honor.  We are looking forward to raising as many funds as possible for those battling blood cancers, and their families, in hopes that no one has to go through what our family did.

LLS's continued advancements over the years, are responsible for the blood cancer survival rate doubling and tripling; in some cases, the survival rate has even quadrupled.

And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers. They're even being tested in clinical trials for patients with a range of cancers including lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. LLS funded drugs are now being tested for patients with other non-cancerous diseases like Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Multiple Sclerosis.

We really are changing the face of blood cancer!

All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS research but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.

Please visit our Website often and bring friends who would also like to donate!

On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere we thank you for your support!

Billy and Heath

In memory of My sister, Tricia Schuler, (multiple myeloma), and my Dad, Richard Schuler, (myelofibrosis), and living cousin Jennie Caputo Fouse, suffering from platelet deficiency (sorry, don’t know name of the disease). The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society was extremely helpful in providing support for my sister’s medical and insurance expenses throughout her 5-year battle with multiple myeloma. She was 55 when she died last June. Thank you for promoting this important cause,
