Teaming Up for Toni LLS Student of the Year Campaign

Welcome To My Fundraising Page!!!!

I am Paige Hahn, a senior at Nazareth Area High School! I joined the LLS Student of the Year Campaign this year to help others who are fighting blood cancers, but most importantly, for my sister, Toni Anne, who had to fight cancer herself. My sister was diagnosed with Stage III Hodgkins in her neck, lungs, abdomen, and pelvis at the age of 17. After months of experiencing nausea, fatigue, muscle soreness, and swollen lymph nodes, she was finally diagnosed after a tissue biopsy in August of 2016. She had just graduated high school that past June and was planning of leaving for college to play softball at the University of Rochester just a few weeks later. However, my sister had to defer her studies for a year to undergo chemotherapy and rebuild her strength. She received chemo for 4 months when she was finally went into remission in November. Although she is now healthy and back at school and softball, this was a very difficult time for our family. However, with the help of family, friends, and organizations such as the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, we were able to get through this difficult time. This experience really opened my eyes to how much cancer can affect people, which is why I have decided to join this campaign to raise money for this worthy cause.

Please consider joining me in supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by making a donation to my fundraising campaign. Thanks to your support, my efforts, will help fund the therapies and treatments and help save lives today. Every dollar donated will make a difference in someone's life.

LLS's continued advancements over the years, are responsible for the blood cancer survival rate doubling and tripling; in some cases, the survival rate has even quadrupled.

And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers. They're even being tested in clinical trials for patients with a range of cancers including lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. LLS funded drugs are now being tested for patients with other non-cancerous diseases like Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Multiple Sclerosis. We really are changing the face of blood cancer!

All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS research but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.

Please visit my web site often and send out the link to friends, family and acquaintances, who would be willing to donate to this great cause! Here is the link: https://events.lls.org/epa/2018SOYLV/phahnz

On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere I thank you for your support!
